#338 Hanging of the Greens.

The first week of December, Methodist churches all over the world have a Hanging of the Greens service in which we learn about the symbols of Christmas and what they represent. It’s a beautiful and solemn service, but our church does it a little differently because the youth group present the symbols and do the readings. They did an awesome job, especially considering how nervous they were. Like a lot of adults, I’m guilty of getting a little anxious anytime teenagers are in a role of responsibility, and every single time—they do their best and impress us all. I’m so proud of them.
After the readings are finished and the class wreaths are hung, we light the beautiful sanctuary Chrismon tree and have a party in the fellowship hall.
Now we’re going to watch The Holiday. Night night, readers!
