#47 Olympics.

On Tuesday nights at 7:00, my parents settle in for the evening, tune to NBC and watch The Biggest Loser. Ben and I have watched it a couple times and were sort of beginning to pull for those Hawaiian brothers, and we were slightly anticipating watching tonight with them. We got there, and my dejected father tells us “It’s not on tonight. Tonight it’s the Olympics.” “Who cares about the Olympics?” I say. I’ve never really paid them any attention, but tonight we watched the luge (90% out of curiosity in light of the accident earlier this week), then snowboard cross. And I was seriously impressed. I couldn’t turn away from that terrifying race through the snow. I guess that means I tried something new today, right?
