Things to Do
Planning a trip to Laurel and want to visit like a Local? We're here to help. Check out our Community Calendar and City Guide to explore our top picks to make the most of your time in the City Beautiful!
Parking
Downtown Laurel has an abundant supply of free parking all throughout downtown - one of the many perks we love about our sweet small town! We recommend parking along Front Street by our Laurel Mercantile Flagship store and then utilize the walking maps downloadable here. In walking distance, you'll be able to visit all of our locations - the Laurel Mercantile, The Scent Library, and the Scotsman General Store, Woodshop and Food Truck Park.
Our company has always been proud to support makers and doers across the US, and now we’re getting the opportunity to highlight Mississippi artisans and craftspeople, many of which we proudly carry in our shops. These event will allow you to meet some of these incredible vendors and see them work on their craft in person.
Apply now for a chance to become a vendor at Mississippi Made.
Connect with Our Community
Laurel Main Street
Since its inception in 2007, Laurel Main Street has championed the growth and sustainability of The City Beautiful’s downtown presence. Founded by a group of local community and business leaders (you probably would recognize a few of them) with the love and creativity to see the true potential of what the downtown area could be. Their grassroots efforts over the past 15 years have resulted in some of the local community’s most prideful projects – murals, street string lighting, countless family-friendly events, and the Trustmark Art Park, to name just a few.
Jones County Chamber of Commerce
The Jones County Chamber and Economic Development Authority promotes the creation and retention of jobs in Jones County. Whether you're looking to relocate your business or expand an existing business, they provide invaluable resources to support the continued growth of our community.
