The architectural imprint of the city’s founders is clear in the residential historic district of Laurel, Mississippi with a wide range of design expressions created between 1897 and 1930. Since relatively little new construction has occurred here, the district endures as one of the largest, finest, and most intact ensembles of early twentieth-century architecture in Mississippi.
Our town's quintessential architectural styles are captured in hand-drawn illustrations of actual Laurel homes by Lake + Land Studio, the local designers who collaborate with Erin and Ben in reworking the structural design of historic homes on HGTV's Home Town.
