#1,044 Early Bird.

I got up at 7:00 am this morning which, for me, is early.

As a self-employeed gal, I usually wake up a little after 8, check emails, run with the dogs, eat breakfast, take the longest shower in history, then eventually wind up at work around 10:00 am because I’d rather work until it’s finished than start it early on most days. Today I ran, washed a load of laundry, had breakfast and a shower and I was in the office all before 8:30. That sounds terrible, but isn’t that the dream? No 27 year-old wants to be at work at 8:00 sharp, do they? I actually wouldn’t mind it, come to think of it. It’s like I just sleep until I wake up because I can most days. I figure as long as the work gets done, no big deal.

But with all the amazing response we’ve gotten from Martha Stewart Weddings, the inquiries are almost impossible to keep up with, the design calendar is overbooked and Brooke and I are getting up earlier and earlier to take it on. These are all unbelievable blessings.

In fact, I’m going to wake up tomorrow at 6:30 because I know what a blessing all that work is. I can’t wait to take it on.
