#1,299 Family 4th.
by Erin Napier
It seems like the 4th of July becomes a bigger deal every year. This time, mama invited the whole family on both sides over to their house for cooking out and a meal that would’ve fed a hundred people. We maybe overdid it.
And then we made the 4 hour drive to Ben’s parents’ property up in Baldwyn.
They don’t live there right now, but it’s their forever home where they plan to retire someday. They wanted everyone to come up and grill out for the 4th, so we hopped in the car and headed to cooler temperatures. The clouds put on the most spectacular show the entire drive. It felt like we were in an airplane seeing them, they were so low to the ground.
It was only 75 degrees when we got there. This is the most unusual weather ever for a Mississippi Independence Day.
I hope you spent this spectacular day with your family, too!
