#1,948 New Orleans with the Blackledges.
by Erin Napier
Our dear old friend Daniel and his darling wife Katie flew in to New Orleans bound for Laurel after over a year in Hawaii with no trips home. Since we last saw them they had a baby girl… Whom they named Laurel! Tonight it was so great to give them all big hugs and spend a night together eating and hanging out in the French Quarter. At this writing it’s 1:15 am and I’m blogging from my phone in the back of Mal and Jim’s car barely awake, so a few photos will have to suffice for today.

I’m Erin Napier, co-owner of Laurel Mercantile Co. and Scotsman Co. with my husband, Ben. I’m an artist and he’s a craftsman and we help people moving to our town find and restore old houses on HGTV’s Home Town. In an effort to count my blessings, this journal has documented only the good things that happen on each and every day of my life since January 1, 2010. I am a wife, a daughter, a homebody, a bubble bath lover, a book reader, a sentimental, stressed out, slightly obsessive southerner. Welcome!
