#1,990 Pecan Cracking.
by Erin Napier
Today friends of ours from Texas gave us a huge bag of pecans from their house there since they heard about my mama’s famous pecan pie. In exchange for the goods (daddy’s haven’t produced much in recent years—the squirrels get them before he can), mama has to promise a pie. So tonight she and I got cracking, and it made it feel like it should be cold outside with a fire roaring in the living room, which was a nice distraction from the muggy days we’ve been having.
Now, I get a pie too, right?
