#2,195 Napier Christmas.

We got a late start this morning but by 1:30 we finally made it to Ben’s parents’ in north Mississippi and everyone was waiting to open presents. Ben played Santa and passed out everyone’s gifts and soon we were buried under a gift wrap mountain.

Ben’s mama spotted Old Try’s new Hot Coffee, Mississippi print a few months ago and has been dropping subtle hints about wanting it ever since. It’s her hometown, so of course she needed it!

But after all the gift opening was the really fun part. I got to spend some time drawing with my little nieces, Harper and Ellie Claire, and their mamas and the super deluxe Crayola art set Ellie got this year.

When is the last time you colored, guys?? It’s really, surprisingly fun. Though I kept wanting to hit control + Z to “undo” my mistakes. I’m terminally tied to a computer when making art. I’m not great at analog like my ginger girls. Here are the finished drawings I did of them, where you can see I started over on Ellie’s face about 10 times.

I hope your day was a slow and easy one, full of rest and recovery from the hustle and bustle of advent. Now let’s enjoy the 10 days of Christmas we have left!
