#2,314 Country Living Fair.

I never would have imagined in a million years that we would someday get to speak at the Country Living Fair, so today was a great honor for us. It’s been my favorite magazine (along with Southern Living) since Cottage Living went under years ago. I’ve just used up all my words for today, so I will let the pictures do most of the talking.

The best thing about today was connecting with so many longtime Instagram friends, old friends and new friends today. We arrived and immediately bumped into Lucy Farmer of Lucy’s Inspired and HGTV Beach Flip:

She made a custom copper necklace for my anniversary gift from Ben last year, and we’ve been text and Instagram friends for a long while.

Soon it was time to head to the main stage for our presentation…

Where I got to see Kevin, an old friend who graduated with me but now lives in Nashville and works in the music business and is a baker on the side. He brought us a gift bag full of my favorite! Salted caramel cake pops!

And soon we were waiting backstage…

And then we did our 1-hour talk on small town living and historic design and we were introduced by Rachel, the editor-in-chief, who had me feeling starstruck!

Afterward we went to the meet and greet area and did a SUPER FUN and silly Facebook live interview with Country Living about how Big and I met, Q&A from viewers and more silly stuff about our favorite music and pet peeves (click here to watch). I can’t believe there are people who want to know any of that stuff about us.

We also finally met PJ and Thomas, longtime Instagram friends who in a roundabout way are the reason we connected with Lindsey at HGTV. Isn’t it wild how the Lord drops people into your journey at exactly the right moment?!
And after the fair ended, we headed south to Franklin for their Main Street festival and dinner with my dear friend Lisa and her darling family. We went to Puckett Grocery and this cutie bakery!

Oh Tennessee. You charmed the heck out of us. What a day. What a time to be alive, in the age of social media that brings souls that match to the same place.

And guess what else?

We bought my new (old) car for a bargain. It’s a fixer upper, just how we like em. I can’t wait to show y’all! Stay tuned!
