We woke up bright and early in Birmingham this morning, bound for Savannah on a research and development trip for the mercantile with a quick stop to visit friends in Birmingham who just had a baby. Hillary and Will’s 1920s bungalow is so beautifully curated!
After a little visit, we hit the road and made it to Senoia (which you may remember us visiting a few years ago!) just in time for a quick lunch:
By dinner time we finally made it to Savannah with all its magic in the town squares, Spanish moss and cobblestone streets. We had dinner at The Lady and Sons where I had the best mac and cheese of my life.

I’m an artist and he’s a craftsman and we help people moving to our town find and restore old houses on HGTV’s Home Town. In an effort to count my blessings, this journal has documented only the good things that happen on each and every day of my life since January 1, 2010. I am a wife, a daughter, a homebody, a bubble bath lover, a book reader, a sentimental, stressed out, slightly obsessive southerner. Welcome!
