#2,918 Nursery Progress.

We are finally making a room for her about two seconds before she’s born. We’re still awaiting the chambray and oak wingback glider and are framing antique botanicals for a gallery wall above her white oak crib, but I’m really excited to make a nursery that doesn’t feel like a nursery, but instead another chapter in the book of our house.

They’re only babies for a minute and I think it’s okay to think outside pink and precious. You don’t have to have a theme. My very first experience designing a room

was in 7th grade. Until then my room was decorated in the same antiques and neutrals my mama used in the rest of their house. When I was old enough to care about it, we made an event one weekend of redesigning my bedroom exactly how I wanted–cloud wallpaper on the ceiling, twinkle lights strung around my desk nook, my own artwork framed. And it was one of the coolest experiences of my growing up years, sharing that with her.

Now… To actually paint the room.
