#2,530 Inventory. Again.
Are you noticing a trend in my posts lately? I know it’s dreadfully boring, but it’s all I’ve done all day and man it feels good to be conquering this whole setting up a store thing one step at a time. Today we continued inventorying the warehoused stock…
And the family recipe books came in from the printer! These things have a huge piece of my heart with all the family recipes that are dearest to us! This little book holds all the secrets to my Mammaw’s buttermilk biscuits, Mallorie’s jambalaya, my spaghetti and meatballs, mama’s pear cake with caramel icing and about 60 other of our best family recipes. It took a lot of hard work and love to compile this informal little field guide with my mama’s stories on southern cooking woven in there that remind me of Rick Bragg. You’ll find it at the store and online in a few weeks!
BUT WE PRINTED ONE STICKER AND SCANNED IT AND IT WORKED JUST LIKE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO!
Which gave us such a second wind to keep pushing, keep working, keep figuring out new things. This is some of the hardest work I’ve ever done and our list is still miles long, but we’re trying our hardest to open the doors….
By next weekend. Pancake Day, Lord willing. But don’t hold me to it!
Now if you will excuse me, we have a date in Stars Hollow!
