#331 Country Come to Town.

We’re here! We’re stuffed! We’re exhausted. Here are the highlights of our first whirlwind day:

The Courtneys were our airport escorts this morning. Love these people!

The view from the plane

Just outside of Prospect Park in Brooklyn
And then… I was beside myself. We went to the place where they filmed the apartment scenes of P.S. I Love You, my all time favorite movie as you must know by now. I got extra stalkerazzi and just walked up in the place like I owned it.

This is where she opens the letter from Gerry. They used a prettier door for the movie, obviously.

After I had finished acting like a teeny bopper, we were on to dinner.
The famous Peter Luger’s steakhouse. The steak was great, but it didn’t compare to Delmonico’s from our honeymoon.

We were wildly amused by the fact that Ben could hum a certain low tone and it sounded so loud and reverberating through the tunnels that you could hear it over the train and still not understand where the sound was coming from if you were sitting beside him.

Our apartment on 11th Street. Could NOT get it to focus.
Home again home again. This place is super warm, cozy and clean. I’m impressed with airbnb so far.
This city makes me feel so alive and… Southern. As great as New York is, there’s no place like little ole Laurel. We couldn’t get a sweet tea at dinner. Sad!
