#399 Sick Day.
by Erin Napier
But not a very sick day, thankfully. I didn’t sleep well and woke up with a sore throat and cough so I wasn’t feeling especially productive for work. Thankfully, we had an ice storm moving through and the cozy heat on inside. Ben made me breakfast and hot tea, Annalee went home early, then I quit early too to lay on the couch and watch a movie in my pajamas. I avoided watching Valentine’s Day all this time (a movie with that many cameos can’t be any good), but when you’re sick and the opening credits are just rolling on HBO, it’s hard to look away. It was perfectly mindless and ooey gooey, exactly what I needed. After sweet Ben gave me another cup of tea and some egg drop soup for lunch, I was feeling a little better and took a long, scalding hot shower. Ahhhhh… Sick days feel pretty good sometimes.
