Jackie Lee asked me to speak to her small business & entrepreneurship class at JCJC today. On the way, I was a little skeptical—assuming they wouldn’t be interested in fluffy wedding business talk, thus not very interested in the details of how I started my little cottage industry. I was SO wrong.
Not only did this class of 15 students care, they had tons of amazing questions—questions that made me feel fired up all over again about my own work. I am so grateful that I had this opportunity to try something I’ve never done before. I’m definitely not an expert or authority on running a small business, but I guess everyone can learn something about being brave and going out on a limb from the story of how this all came to be.
