#640 Loblolly.

Another Loblolly Festival has come and gone, and this was definitely my favorite one ever. For the first time ever, it was so organized we didn’t have to be on our toes all day. Judi had the Key Club and Serteens from 2 high schools working the entrance gates so us Laurel Main Streeters only had to work a 2 hour session at the info booth. It didn’t hurt that we had perfect fall weather all day with a high of 74 degrees. Amaaaaazing!

I’ve never had a booth before but at the last minute I decided to set up and sell some college and concert prints. We sold enough to pay for the couch we want from Ikea, so I’m a happy camper!

As long as the lumberjack and Sugar lingered around my tent, people flocked.
Some yutes visited me!
Me, with bad posture, and mama—selling letterpress stuff at the Lucky Luxe booth.

For the second time, my dear husband was Mr. Loblolly, the lumberjack “mascot” of the festival. He was in the commercial that aired on our local TV station constantly:

So all day, folks (read: pretty girls) were asking to take pictures with him. He forgot to wear his wedding ring this morning, and I coulda whipped him.

Stephanie and Kandace, 2 of my friends from high school. Stephanie (on the left) and her husband are in the process of adopting a sibling group from Colombia and were selling Cokes to raise money for it. It was good seeing her since she lives in Baton Rouge now!

Blue Mountain was there!

I’ll be ate for a tater if that ain’t ole Willie the Buggyman!

We couldn’t have asked for a better day. I’m so thankful for everyone in Laurel Main Street’s hard work to make it happen!
