#75 Skivvy dancin’ & a batik print scarf.
A while ago as we were getting ready for bed, Ben flipped through HBO and came across Moulin Rouge —a movie that’s definitely in both our top 3 of all time and we were sucked in to watching it again for the millionth time. We couldn’t stop ourselves from, first of all, saying every line (“I can’t believe it! I’m in love with a young, handsome, talented duke!”… “Duke? I’m not a duke.”…. “Not a duke?”….”I’m a writer.”… “A writer?!”), and secondly, when it came to the scene where Christian sings Your Song to Satine, Ben made his best operatic singing voice (and you can tell everybody this is your song… it may be quite simple but now that it’s done, I hope you don’t mind, I hope you don’t mind that I put down in words how wonderful life is now you’re in the world), grabbed me and we danced atop our bed in our underwear and PJs as Christian and Satine danced around the Eiffel Tower under the serenading man in the moon. It put him in such a good mood that he decided to fix our ill-shutting bathroom door right then and there. It is so good to have a man who appreciates the finer things, no?
In other news, here’s my new scarf:
(I have no idea why it looks like I’m in front of a bug zapper.)
Purchased yesterday at American Eagle (for $14.50) because I quite simply could not live without it. I wore it today with my favorite Ole Miss sweatshirt because I work at home and that’s how I roll.
He’s yelling that it’s almost to the Elephant Love Medley scene, so I better run. Until tomorrow!
