#922 First Day of Summer.
by Erin Napier
It’s the first day of summer, which makes me very nostalgic. Very.
On exactly this same day last year, I was having the same daydreams of being in high school and having lazy summer days spent riding in Jeeps and staying up late watching MTV. Nancy is in town and came by this evening to visit for a minute. We sat on the porch, talking. And I know that 10 years ago we were probably doing that very same thing, though at the moment it’s hard to remember the last time we saw each other.
It’s so strange, isn’t it? Something about the season changes something in me, makes me wish to be 16 again. I guess that’s a common feeling that summertime brings everyone.
I’m also so excited for my friends Dawn and Michael who announced today they’re expecting their 2nd child!
