A Place for Community

Laurel Miss Mural

"Picture this. You’re sitting under an umbrella outside enjoying a meal, snack, or a sweet treat.

You look up and your child starts playing with another child. They’re chasing each other around the fenced-in terf in between bites of pizza -  having the best kind of kid fun

You and the other adults are singing along to classic and 90s Country songs that you haven’t heard in ages but still know every word by heart.

And you realize that you’re having a quintessential small-town southern experience.

That’s what happens at the Scotsman Food Truck Park and Snowball Stand.

In fact, that was my family’s experience just recently.

As a Laurel native and resident, I am so grateful that there is a place I can take my family that’s fun and exciting and offers plenty of opportunities for a rowdy toddler.

Snowball

Just about every time we go there to eat or get a snack from the General Store, we either bump into someone we know or meet people who have traveled some distance. It’s really turning into a place of community - just what we need!

In case you were curious - our toddler specifically loves strawberry snowballs, sitting in the mini lawn chairs, and the observatory deck, more specifically the stairs leading up to the observatory deck.

If you live in Laurel or just visiting for the day, this is a great place for families to hang out and spend time together. "
