Halloween Home Town
When you're walking on 6th Avenue on Halloween night, you're bound to see your favorite baker, your family's doctor that you've been going to since you were born, your oldest friends and even their parents and grandparents. There's something magical about the brisk air, how the humidity settles down just for the evening. Kids rule the streets and every neighbor sits outside to welcome them to their lawns.
The lawns are adorned with inflatable dragons, ghosts, and the front doors are wide open. You can walk past and see handfuls of people playing games and laughing around tables. Chik-fil-a nugget trays are the necessity and for one night, Laurel's streets become a potluck for all.
In Erin's words, our town is very good at Halloween.
