Spring Events in Laurel 2025
Making your way to Laurel during the spring is must add to your to-do list! Here are a few things going on this spring that you'll want to keep in mind when planning your trip to our hometown.
***Laurel Mardi Gras Parade February 22nd, 2025
The Fraternal Order of Police Laurel Lodge #2 will hold its annual Mardi Gras parade in beautiful downtown Laurel on Saturday, February 22nd.
The parade, sponsored by the Bok Homa Casino, will roll at 6:00pm following the traditional parade route through downtown Laurel.
“We are excited to once again bring the fun and festive FOP Mardi Gras parade to Laurel,” notes FOP Laurel Lodge #2 President Brad Anderson.
Anderson adds, “Proceeds benefit the charitable work of the Fraternal Order of Police Laurel Lodge #2 including our ‘Shop With A Cop’ event at Christmas for underprivileged children. The proceeds also provide financial assistance for law enforcement officers injured in the line of duty.”
Come join in the fun of the FOP Mardi Gras parade on Saturday, February 22nd at 6:00pm in downtown Laurel and catch some beads!
***Nurture our future Touch-A-Truck March 1st, 2025
Bring your truck lovers to this FREE family-oriented event in downtown Laurel! All the things that go “Honk! Beep! Vroom! Aooooga!” will be there for children to explore. Plan to have snacks and lunch at our concession booths and meet with local pediatricians, early educators, and health care providers at our early education and wellness fair.
***First State Bank's Laurel Leap Tournament March 1st, 2025
On the first Saturday in March, we’re taking it to the streets for downtown Laurel’s only 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament — Laurel Leap Day!
Courts will be set up in the parking lot along Front Street with plenty of room in the bleachers for spectators to cheer on their favorite team. Food vendors, beverages, and a DJ will also be around to transform Front Street into a sports arena for all to enjoy! Reunite with your high school teammates or form a new team, just get downtown and have a good time!
***Wine Down Downtown March 8th, 2025

***Laurel Food Truck Festival March 8th, 2025
So introducing Laurel Food Truck Festival “Spring Edition 2025”
***Mississippi Made Festival March 15th, 2025
This event will take place downtown on Front Street with live music, beverages, and teams competing to be the winner! All entries are cooked on-site and will be judged by a team of crawfish experts and lovers. The gates will open at 11:00 a.m. and the event will end at 3:00 p.m.
A $25 entry stamp will get you in the gate and all the tasting you can handle! If you’re still craving crawfish after visiting all our teams, you can buy another 5 lbs of crawfish on-site for market price.
KIDS under TWELVE enter & eat free! For those who don’t or can’t eat crawfish, other food options will be available for purchase.

***Laurel Arts League Day in the Park May 3rd, 2025
Day in the Park is the Laurel Arts League’s largest annual event, which takes place the first Saturday each May from 9am - 3pm in Mason Park. The day begins with a 5K race (8am) followed by a 1-mile Fun Run. Throughout the day, patrons can enjoy live music, art competitions, delicious festival cuisine, children’s activities, and the works of skilled craftsmen from across the region.
Race the 5K and Fun Run--The Day in the Park Races kick off the day with the annual 5K race that starts at 8:00 a.m. in the park on 18th Street (rain or shine), followed immediately by the one-mile fun run. Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. and awards will be presented at 9:00 a.m.
Entertainment begins at 9:30 a.m. and will feature a variety of performances including rhythm, blues, country, variety, popular and jazz. Bring your Lawn chair and come enjoy!
Join us at 9:00 a.m. by visiting and shopping with our Arts and Crafts vendors who will be located throughout the park. Shop for those one-of-a-kind creations, Mother’s Day gifts, Christmas gifts or something special for the kids!
