It was another morning spent in the emergency room with my hurting stomach, unfortunately, but on the (very) bright side—they gave me Dilaudid through an IV that instantly took the pain away and made feel more sleepy than I’ve ever been in my life. As soon as they gave me the medicine it felt like I had slipped into a warm bath after running a marathon, I was so so weak and relaxed. I slept from 11 am to 5 pm, then off and on from then until 11, then straight through the night. They were finally able to do another test that could determine the problem. There’s a possibility that I have a hereditary blood disorder causing the illness infrequently, but it’ll be a few days before the test results come back. Fingers crossed!
