#1,958 May Day.
by Erin Napier
Well it’s the first Friday in May in Laurel. So that means some of that “is this town even a real place?” level of quaintness. It’s May Day at St. John’s! You don’t have to have kids to enjoy the spectacle of seeing everyone you know out in the gorgeous sunshine watching the show.
And that means tomorrow is the first Saturday of May, which means Day in the Park! CORN DOGS!
We’re finally doing those stepping stone paths in the backyard and I’m so excited I could bust.
Still no grass (thanks, Chevy and Baker!) but we won’t worry about that.

I’m Erin Napier, co-owner of Laurel Mercantile Co. and Scotsman Co. with my husband, Ben. I’m an artist and he’s a craftsman and we help people moving to our town find and restore old houses on HGTV’s Home Town. In an effort to count my blessings, this journal has documented only the good things that happen on each and every day of my life since January 1, 2010. I am a wife, a daughter, a homebody, a bubble bath lover, a book reader, a sentimental, stressed out, slightly obsessive southerner. Welcome!
