#18 First day of Spring(ish) weather!

Now the rules are that I will only talk about 1 good thing a day, but because this is my very own blog and I make the rules, I’ve got a few things I want to talk about today.

Topic #1: Mr. George, a writer a famous local writer whom I’ve known since I was 13 interviewed me over coffee about Lucky Luxe’s crazy growth over the last couple of years. We caught up on a lot of things, I showed him around our house, we talked about design and art and what we love about New York, the fascinating places he’s traveled to, and what led me to this point in my career. It was so good seeing him. He’s a very special person from my formative creative years.

Topic #2: I can’t tell you how fantastic today felt. Let me paint a picture for you: there was a 65 degrees breeze blowing through our 10 foot kitchen windows with Blue Canoe (the Hattiesburg version) playing on the radio, fresh sauteed squash and garden salads, cold Nehi peach in a glass bottle, and my very favorite, oft-mentioned sweet olive-ish candle burning on the counter.

Topic #3: Ben was wearing his totally tuff bandana in preparation for today’s kickball match at Gardiner Park with the youth kids (we did a lot of high-fiving).
(Left: tickled, unable to look at the camera without cracking. Right: TUFF AS NAILS.)

I can’t wait to see what this spring will hold for us. I can only hope everyday is this good.
