#2,258 Kentucky Friends.
by Erin Napier
We got back into Laurel around lunch today, just in time to show our new friends, Ryan and Shellie from Kentucky, around town since they’re thinking of moving here. We spent some time letting all the kids run off energy in Gardiner Park.
Ryan is a fellow woodworker who may be just the man to help Ben meet demand at Scotsman Co., and just one more person God has put directly in our path with all its uncertainty and adventure. We’ve prayed to be surrounded with the people we need to make it through this crazy thing, and He never fails us. Not once.
I hope you were feeling the sunshine out there today too, dear reader.

I’m Erin Napier, co-owner of Laurel Mercantile Co. and Scotsman Co. with my husband, Ben. I’m an artist and he’s a craftsman and we help people moving to our town find and restore old houses on HGTV’s Home Town. In an effort to count my blessings, this journal has documented only the good things that happen on each and every day of my life since January 1, 2010. I am a wife, a daughter, a homebody, a bubble bath lover, a book reader, a sentimental, stressed out, slightly obsessive southerner. Welcome!
