#2,681 The Patriot + Mathews House.
by Erin Napier
After learning so much about the Revolutionary War in Boston, we couldn’t stop ourselves from watching The Patriot on the flight home. And it was just as awesome as I remember.
After finally making it back home to Laurel we headed straight to two parties: the first one honored Laurel Main Street members Lott Furniture Co. and the volunteers of the year, Robby and Angie Scruggs.
You can find curated plate wall collections and Adam’s beautiful custom gardenia fabric turned into a pillow in our online shop today. I love so much that we get to show the world how amazing our local artists and entrepreneurs are with Home Town.

I’m Erin Napier, co-owner of Laurel Mercantile Co. and Scotsman Co. with my husband, Ben. I’m an artist and he’s a craftsman and we help people moving to our town find and restore old houses on HGTV’s Home Town. In an effort to count my blessings, this journal has documented only the good things that happen on each and every day of my life since January 1, 2010. I am a wife, a daughter, a homebody, a bubble bath lover, a book reader, a sentimental, stressed out, slightly obsessive southerner. Welcome!
