#2,369 Live Via Satellite.
We went to bed last night at 9 pm for a 4 am wake up call before doing live satellite interviews about our video series of DIY tips for Bank of America.
We had the day off from our HGTV duties, but that didn’t stop our director and producers from texting “Good luck today!” before we started the interviews. I missed them today!
We were sleepyheads, but once you’re sitting in front of a camera on live television doing an interview, you wake up and start freaking out fast. We talked to 30 TV and radio stations all over America for 5 hours straight about all of our favorite backyard projects.
Around 7 am, the Director of Photography for our show, Tim, walked up to check on us and see how it was going. He’s such a pro that the BoA film crew actually knew him from his many years in the TV world, with Duck Dynasty and other shows around Louisiana. It put me at ease to see his familiar face (and bandana!) hanging back with the crew while we did such nerve wracking work.
Tim is everyone’s favorite person in the world, and it’s easy to understand when you see him jump in and help a visiting film crew move the silks and lights on his day off.
Back to normal life and sleeping hours I hope!
