#2,373 Jodie + Honey.
by Erin Napier
Today we had a surprise visitor on set! Jodie was my music teacher from middle school until I graduated from high school. We would spend lunch breaks at the piano in her classroom singing Tori Amos songs. She fostered my creativity in such a huge way in my most formative years. I’ll never forget it.
She lives in Savannah now but took some time on her trip home this week to see me. It was so good to see her!
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t taste it too… It really was delicious, and the bees were rescued and relocated to a bee farm. All’s well that ends well!

I’m Erin Napier, co-owner of Laurel Mercantile Co. and Scotsman Co. with my husband, Ben. I’m an artist and he’s a craftsman and we help people moving to our town find and restore old houses on HGTV’s Home Town. In an effort to count my blessings, this journal has documented only the good things that happen on each and every day of my life since January 1, 2010. I am a wife, a daughter, a homebody, a bubble bath lover, a book reader, a sentimental, stressed out, slightly obsessive southerner. Welcome!
