After months of focusing all my brainpower and efforts on designing these homes for the show, it’s been feeling INCREDIBLE to revisit my first love this week in every free moment–graphic design. I’ve missed the personalities of letterforms and how it feels when you strike just the right font/graphic chord. We’re so lucky to have the help of Ethan Manning creating the rough forms and base illustrations for some things for the mercantile. Our design styles are like siblings, and I trust him to know exactly where my head is with a concept, then I let him run with it, create the rough cuts, then I get to refine and make the final design. What a dream. So many beautiful things and fun things are in store for the Laurel Mercantile Co. I can’t wait to bring y’all along every step of the way to opening the doors!
