#2,814 The Beginning of the Front.

As a lifelong Mississippian, NOTHING gets me as excited to wake up tomorrow as the promise of a cold front that’s going to hang around for longer than a day.

Tonight I’m lying in bed listening to the rain drumming on the roof, anticipating the first cool breezes of fall that will make working outside feel like a gift.

Excited as I am about this, the entire southeastern United States is collectively waiting on pins and needles to see what Irma will do, and I’m praying fervently in the days to come that it will weaken into nothing more than a thunderstorm, fizzling out before it causes devastation to anyone. Won’t you join me?
