#2,833 That Parenthood Episode.
by Erin Napier
In January I made a plan to slowly make my way through the entire Parenthood series one episode at a time as I walked 2.7 miles on the treadmill each morning. It was the first time I had ever watched a TV series without Ben, and I found myself thinking of these characters as if they were real people I knew and cared about, and it was weird that Ben didn’t know them! A month or so ago, we hit play on the pilot together and have been watching one each night at bedtime so he can know the Bravermans too and I remember the first time I saw this one episode in season 3 called In-Between, I found myself crying (not common for me) around mile 2. Adam and Kristina’s relationship is the reason I love the show and in that episode, in one scene particularly, it really shines and Adam’s kindness to his wife reminded me so much of Ben, it killed me. Tonight we watched it again.
And I cried again.
Tomorrow night This Is Us is back on NBC. I guess I better get used to it.
