#2,867 The Perfect Fall Day.

We woke up to 36° and rain. The windows in the house were fogged over, and we turned on David Gray while we shared our breakfast. It was a perfect morning that you feel the contentment of deep in your bones.

The wind howled, and soon the rain was gone. I remembered today is the first day of my 3rd trimester. I am exactly 7 months pregnant and took a photo to remember it. I don’t know why Helen isn’t really showing still. I’ve gained 20 lbs. and feel great, so I’m grateful, but expecting my big belly to appear any day now.

I walked outside and quickly realized with a high of only 55° I wouldn’t be warm enough in my favorite green sweater. We spent the day working on projects at home so we could spend time at the Mercantile with Brian and Hollis, who came to Laurel to buy Jim and Mallorie’s Wagoneer.

We were freezing in these photos and so glad for it. It merited a campfire with hot dogs and smores when the sun went down.

We squeezed every last drop out of this perfect fall day.

P.S.

We did a little interview with Us Weekly magazine about Helen that’s in stores now for just a few more days.
