#2,555 Christmas Lunch at the Y.

In Laurel, we don’t have a YMCA. No, we have something much fancier and sweeter. We have the YWCO.

And besides the famous Pancake Day on the first Saturday in December, they also host a delicious lunch every Tuesday from 11-1 that my aunts absolutely LOVE attending. Today mama and I joined them for the annual YWCO Christmas Lunch, and we had turkey, dressing, and sparkling conversation about topics including bunions, leggings, and Pearl Harbor.

It is important to note we are all working with fluorescent overhead lighting in this photo. #havemercy

It tickles me to spend time with these funny, Elvis-adoring women who taught me everything I know. It’s even better when it’s bookended by dressing and sweet potato pie.
