#2,643 Precious Things.
by Erin Napier
Today I stayed home because I wasn’t feeling great. Ben took me for a ride in the country to get some fresh air with the windows down and the sunroof open and while it didn’t take away the rumbly feelings in my stomach, it made me feel so deeply in love with him, holding onto his arm, thick as a tree trunk, listening to David Gray and Chris Stapleton sing songs that we love.
I like the way he pushes me to be creative when I would rather be lazy. I love the way the things that are special to me make me the most special girl in the world to him.

I’m Erin Napier, co-owner of Laurel Mercantile Co. and Scotsman Co. with my husband, Ben. I’m an artist and he’s a craftsman and we help people moving to our town find and restore old houses on HGTV’s Home Town. In an effort to count my blessings, this journal has documented only the good things that happen on each and every day of my life since January 1, 2010. I am a wife, a daughter, a homebody, a bubble bath lover, a book reader, a sentimental, stressed out, slightly obsessive southerner. Welcome!
