9 years ago, it was the coldest November weekend in Oxford's history. My parents got another son and I got 3 more big brothers. Our family threw bright red and yellow leaves we had gathered up together that morning as we left the reception. That day I got to have Ben's last name. Somehow, we love each other a little bit more every day. It's hard to notice in little increments. Then you feel it falling asleep one night or when you wake up on a day like this: you know your lives are sewn up together forever in a way that can't be taken apart. What would I do without you, Big? (: @litt.le) A post shared by Erin Napier (@erinapier) on Nov 22, 2017 at 6:24am PST 9 year gift is willow wood. @scotsman.co gave me: 1. "a bouquet of newly sharpened" willow wood colored pencils, for me to teach Helen to draw with someday. 2. He turned a big bowl by hand from willow wood for my apples on the breakfast table. 3. Two short Cokes in glass bottles, like the ones we drank at our wedding reception. 4. The anniversary book isn't finished, because he's been a little busy making this TV show 12 hours a day, but he's writing a little of it every day. And when we were in college, I had such a crush on him I would've been happy just to be his friend. For him to know my name. #big A post shared by Erin Napier (@erinapier) on Nov 22, 2017 at 8:42pm PST I’ll never be able to show him how much it means to me.
