#737 Yard work.
by Erin Napier
I don’t think I’ve ever done yard work before. Not seriously. Not like I did today.
I had an older brother to help daddy in the yard, so I was ignorant today when I held a weedeater for the first time. It was maybe the single most satisfying thing I’ve ever done. The biggest thing we accomplished today was breaking down the rotten picnic table that was in the back corner of the yard, then weedeating and cleaning off the patio. We uncovered it and found that it’s actually an amazing little patio area that we were hardly noticing before!
We did a TON of work in the yard but it’s not quite ready for pictures since we’re finishing up tomorrow. While we did work really hard, you’ve gotta eat. So we cooked out on Ben’s new charcoal grill—sausage, chicken and roasted vegetables. There was some football tossing too, of course.
And now, some gratuitous dog photos:
What a picture perfect day. I even rode the lawnmower to sweep the leaves up. I can’t wait to get my hands dirty again tomorrow!
