#787 Souper Sunday.

Ben was gone for the weekend on confirmation retreat which falls on Super Bowl weekend every year. We always have the big soup fundraiser and I’m so thankful for the youth parents who make it come together every single year in Ben’s absence. I’m also loving our students, as usual. They always work hard for the youth program when Ben needs them to and I think that says a lot about their character. They knew he wouldn’t be there checking up on them, and they showed up and worked hard anyway. Here are a few of the group waiting for the first wave of diners this morning:

I’m Erin Napier, co-owner of Laurel Mercantile Co. and Scotsman Co. with my husband, Ben. I’m an artist and he’s a craftsman and we help people moving to our town find and restore old houses on HGTV’s Home Town. In an effort to count my blessings, this journal has documented only the good things that happen on each and every day of my life since January 1, 2010. I am a wife, a daughter, a homebody, a bubble bath lover, a book reader, a sentimental, stressed out, slightly obsessive southerner. Welcome!
