#995 Productive Saturday + Football.
I had hoped to talk mostly about how exciting it is that college football is here again and tell you how great Ole Miss played while we partied at my parents’ on the deck, and while it looks like they’re definitely going to win tonight, I’m a little anxious about the rest of the season. Judging by the looks of the team tonight, the season will probably be a wash, but that’s all right. I’m still a proud alumnus.
We woke up early this morning and started doing work around the house, including new Roman shades for the kitchen windows. I’ve been going back and forth about if I love the look of naked windows, and while I definitely do, it’s scorching hot in there in the evening sun. I’m so glad we did it. I’ll post photos when it’s daylight.
With the hurricane overstaying its welcome over 3 solid days, the porch was saturated with rain and humidity the entire time and everything grew a layer of mildew. I couldn’t wait to spray it down and scrub it up, and after a couple hours of elbow grease it looks like we repainted it. I’m pleased as punch.
It was the sort of day where we accomplished a lot, but we don’t feel worn out and beat down from it. A good ole Saturday, if you ask me.
