Galaher Home: Part 1
Home Town is back! Last night’s episode introduced us to a home and a family that will linger with viewers long after the credits rolled.
The Galaher home isn’t simply a house in Laurel. It’s a place where generations of life have unfolded. Geof Galaher has lived in this home his entire life, just as his parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents did before him. Few homes are held with that kind of continuity. Every room carries history, memory, and the quiet weight of being deeply known.
Y'all saw in Part One, time has taken a toll. The damage to the home is extensive—so extensive that this renovation will unfold over two episodes. What aired last night was only the beginning, an honest look at just how much work lies ahead to preserve something this meaningful!
For Ben and Erin this project may be one of the most significant they’ve taken on—not just because of the scale, but because of the responsibility. This isn’t about changing a house. It’s about protecting a legacy and honoring the generations who have passed it down with care.
Part One asked viewers to sit with the hard parts: the structural challenges, the emotional weight, and the uncertainty that comes with restoring a home that means this much. It was a reminder that meaningful work is rarely simple but it is worth it.
There is still more to come, more rebuilding ahead, and more of this story yet to be told. We’re grateful to witness the beginning of what will be a powerful restoration because it’s one rooted in family, perseverance, and a deep respect for the past.
Below, we’re sharing a closer look inside the Galaher home as it stood at the start of this journey. So browse the gallery and the collection inspired by the home!

Stay tuned for next week's transformation of the rest of the home, you won't want to miss it!
