I’ve never been much of a cake or ice cream eater.
I LOVE Dairy Queen ice cream cake because of that Cool Whippish decorating cream they use on them. I could rake it all off with a spoon and eat it. It’s not icing—I can’t stand icing—this is heaven, on a spoon. Dairy Queen opened yesterday in Laurel and so Jim and Mallorie and I decided the only thing that soothes a broken heart is DQ ice cream cake.
Except it was frozen rock solid and we couldn’t cut it with the flimsy plastic knives in Jim’s office so we just got spoons and went to raking it down in the melty spots. It was delicious.
And this is going in the paper tomorrow.
