#1,429 Martha Mail + First Fall Freeze.
by Erin Napier
Well, it’s done. The design commissioned by Martha Stewart Weddings is finished, printed, and in the overnight mail. Today I scratched off my biggest career goal to date. Surreal.
I want so badly to show you what I’ve been tediously laboring over all day every day since October 31, but I have to keep it secret until the magazine is on newstands in March.
But this pretty much spells it out.
We woke up and it was 60 degrees outside. By 2 pm, it was in the upper 40s and grey all around. My favorite! To celebrate the Christmasy weather we had dinner by the fire at Cracker Barrel. What exactly is it about cold weather and breakfast for supper that go hand in hand?
It’s going to be the first freeze of the year tonight. I really want to dig out the stockings and ornaments… But I’ll wait a little longer. Just a little.

I am a wife, a daughter, a homebody, a bubble bath lover, a book reader, a sentimental, stressed out, slightly obsessive southerner. Welcome!
