#160 Brad.

If you ever go to the Sweet Peppers in Laurel, I bet you’ve been waited on by a guy named Brad before. Brad is really, truly, the most enthusiastic and friendly person you’re likely to meet. When you walk in the door, he knows what drinks you always get and he’ll have them waiting at your favorite table before you’ve even placed the order, and not only that, but he always gets the extra croutons for me before we’ve even been seated. He always remembers the last time you came and asks where you’ve been and what you’ve been doing since then.

Ben and the kids were on 16th Avenue hanging banners for the upcoming car show a few days ago, and Brad laid on the horn and hung out the window asking Ben, “Hey man, where have y’all been? I miss seeing you!”… He actually remembers the last time we were there and noticed that it’s been a few weeks. I feel like we’ve been cheating on him with our kitchen.
If you ever see Brad while you’re having lunch or dinner (you’ll know it when you do — he’s got a huge smile on his face and he’s GOING to talk to you), leave him a good tip. He’s also a full-time student in nursing school at USM, so he could use that gas money.
