This afternoon the winds began to shift and got stronger and stronger and with each gust, the temperature got cooler and cooler and it felt like California, like a movie, like a dream.

Ben’s mama came to visit us tonight so he grilled chicken and steak, I roasted squash, zucchini and onions, and made a good salad. We had root beer in glass bottles and felt thankful for cool breezes.
