#2,280 Handy Woman.

Since we bought our house there has been a very old security system keypad inside the front door that we pulled out last week, and it left an egg-sized hole in the wall (and revealed the teal wall color from many years ago) that we’ve been too busy to patch. Today before Ben went to practice at the church for the Maundy Thursday service, I asked him to cut a little chunk of wood for me so I could patch the hole. I’ve seen him patch holes and figured I could manage it while he was gone and cross one more thing off our to-do list. I took that little chunk of wood and used a hammer to tap it in to place…

And I used spackling and a putty knife to fill in the cracks…

And I got out my hair dryer because I’m impatient.. And I sanded it really good then added more spackling then blow dried it some more and then sanded it some more… Then I painted it.

And now, because I patched an egg-size whole in the wall, I feel like I can proceed with this whole HGTV thing. #qualified
