#2,697 The Village.
After a long (amazing) day of meetings about some really exciting things that are happening (eventually), we had tonight to ourselves to just spend some time in Greenwich Village, our favorite neighborhood in NYC, before we finally head back home.
We stopped in John Derian’s shops in the East Village that have been an online inspiration to me for so long:
We stopped into Three Lives bookstore in the West Village, which is the most charming neighborhood in the whole city if you ask me:
And soon it was time to meet up with Lindsey and her brother Craig, and Kim and her boyfriend Charlie at Il Cantinori which we have officially decided after half a dozen visits is our favorite restaurant in the city. Period. The waitstaff remembers us every time and treat us like friends, bringing plates of fresh Italian cheeses and bruschetta to our table, on the house. They always remember we are a long way from home and therefore go out of their way to make us feel right at home. It’s hard to compete with that kind of service.
And as much as I love the electric beauty and magic of New York, I can’t wait to be home again. See you in a few hours, Laurel!
