My parents’ garden is cranking out more squash than they know what to do with so today they dropped off a few pounds of it along with fresh green onions and tonight I did the prep to make it easy to throw together Garden and Gun’s squash casserole recipe tomorrow for the cookout.
And if there’s gonna be a cookout, I might as well bring a dessert too, right? And I remembered Southern Living’s recipe for strawberry icebox pretzel pie that looked pretty simple, so I went ahead and made that too and stuck it in the fridge.
I swear there is nothing more tempting than homemade whipped cream, is there? Well, maybe a really good, sharp and garlicky pimento and cheese dip….
