#2,321 Rain at Home + Party People.
by Erin Napier
If you’ve been visiting here for any amount of time you probably know how much I love a rainy day at home. It’s the perfect time to light the best candles, throw all the bed linens in the wash, and fluff and clean the house. It’s satisfying and gives me a lot of comfort to have a clean house. Do you know what I mean?
And tonight we went to a party downtown and got to see some of our friends we don’t see as often as we’d like, introduced our producers to everyone we could, and thankfully, they tell us they feel really at home here. I think that says a lot about the kind of folks we’ve got in this town.

I’m Erin Napier, co-owner of Laurel Mercantile Co. and Scotsman Co. with my husband, Ben. I’m an artist and he’s a craftsman and we help people moving to our town find and restore old houses on HGTV’s Home Town. In an effort to count my blessings, this journal has documented only the good things that happen on each and every day of my life since January 1, 2010. I am a wife, a daughter, a homebody, a bubble bath lover, a book reader, a sentimental, stressed out, slightly obsessive southerner. Welcome!
