On July 27, 2014, Lindsey sent me the email that changed the trajectory of our life. She had randomly found me on Instagram and reached out about the possibility of making a show about our little town way down in Mississippi. And by some luck, she was here tonight on her road trip from NYC to New Orleans and we’re eating dinner together in my best friend’s backyard after wrapping a long day of filming season 1, which feels way way too good to be true.
Happy friendversary. This town will never be able to repay you for taking that leap of faith and being Laurel’s biggest cheerleader.

I’m Erin Napier, co-owner of Laurel Mercantile Co. and Scotsman Co. with my husband, Ben. I’m an artist and he’s a craftsman and we help people moving to our town find and restore old houses on HGTV’s Home Town. In an effort to count my blessings, this journal has documented only the good things that happen on each and every day of my life since January 1, 2010. I am a wife, a daughter, a homebody, a bubble bath lover, a book reader, a sentimental, stressed out, slightly obsessive southerner. Welcome!
