What a day! We had some very special visitors passing through town on their long drive home from New Orleans to Canada today. Holly’s HGTV pilot, Big Easy Reno, was filmed around the same time ours was last summer and we connected shortly after thanks to our producers who knew we were kindred spirits. This summer they filmed a couple more episodes and just wrapped this week so she, her husband Sean, and their daughter Wren are saying goodbye to the heat for a few months.
It was so good to finally meet after a year of long distance friendship and being support sisters for each other in the crazy journey of making our shows. I love these sweet people. So thankful to be part of the same production family.
P.S. — Big awkwardly hiding their surprise Laurel brick is cracking me up.

I’m an artist and he’s a craftsman and we help people moving to our town find and restore old houses on HGTV’s Home Town. In an effort to count my blessings, this journal has documented only the good things that happen on each and every day of my life since January 1, 2010. I am a wife, a daughter, a homebody, a bubble bath lover, a book reader, a sentimental, stressed out, slightly obsessive southerner. Welcome!
